Parking

Visitor and patient parking is located at the front of the hospital’s main entrance and in front of the Outpatient entrance.

 Valuables

The hospital cannot assume responsibility for loss and/or damage to valuables, clothing and other personal items retained in your room. Please send your valuables home. If this is not possible, ask your nurse about a valuables envelope to be placed in the hospital safe. Eyeglasses, contact lenses and dentures should be kept in protective containers when not in use.

Television

Wall mounted, color television sets with DVD players are available for your pleasure. In consideration for other patients, please turn off your television sets by 11:00 p.m. Personal televisions are not allowed for safety reasons.

Smoking

Smoking is NOT allowed.

Safety

Never hesitate to use the nurse call system for assistance, Signals are located at your bedside and in lavatories, showers and tub rooms.

When the siderails are up, have someone lower the railing before you attempt to get out of bed. Use caution when getting in and out of bed. If you feel weak, do not attempt to get out of bed or go to the bathroom unassisted.

You will receive an identification bracelet to be worn at all times to guarantee that you receive correct treatment and medication, specific to your needs.

Routine fire drills are held at the hospital on all shifts on a regular basis to assure maximum training and efficiency in an emergency. Please do not be alarmed if you hear or see evidence of such a practice drill. Your primary safety is our concern.
