helps every patient through his or her recovery process with
personal attention and care. Specialized services such as
occupational therapy and bone densitometry are also available
within the building.
The Center includes a 15 x 25 foot aquatic therapy pool,
which is the safest form of rehabilitation as it provides
the patient with more support while decreasing compressive
forces on weight bearing joints because of the effects of
buoyancy. It is an effective tool for early intervention
of various injuries such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteo-arthritis,
rehabilitation following fractures, total knee and hip replacements,
low back pain and neck pain frozen shoulders, and Fibromyalgia.
The therapy pool is also used for aqua aerobics classes
offered to the community. Currently there are 17 classes
offered weekly, including a co-ed class for both women and
men. Registration and more information on these classes can
be obtained by calling Tammy at 810-648-6125.
There is also a free indoor walking track for use by the
community. Walkers can utilize this very beneficial health
and fitness inside walking track Monday through Friday from
5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
There is no need to travel long distances for your physical
therapy needs. We are here for you, close to home. Call McKenzie
