Physical Therapist

McKenzie Memorial Hospital located in Sandusky, Michigan has an opening for a full-time Physical Therapist.  Michigan licensure required.  New grads encouraged to apply.

This is a great opportunity to work with patients of all ages and diagnoses.  Case load is primarily outpatient with some inpatient work.  We have a state of the art outpatient facility which opened in 2005.  The new facility includes an aquatic therapy pool.

Dietary Cook/Aide

Full-time 32 hours per week; Afternoons: 10:00am - 6:30pm. Variable day shifts may be required to provide department staffing. Requires working weekends and holidays on a rotational basis and possible schedule adjustments to support workload demand.

High school graduate; Training in cost control, food management, diet therapy, preferred; Previous food service experience in a health care setting preferred; Previous experience in large-scale cooking, knowledge of food preparation, and cooking methods, preferred; Ability to work individually and in a team setting; Self-directed; Ability to prioritize; Ability to read and follow recipes written in English language; Excellent customer service skills; First Responder BLS required within six months of hire; Certification in “ServSafe,” preferred; Ability to establish effective working relationships and effective communication with peers, patients, families, physicians and other support personnel; Supports and contributes to the total hospital system by maintaining hospital-wide perspective and serving on department/hospital committees as requested; Influences the direction of Dietary & Nutritional Services by maintaining composure and excellence and a positive perspective/attitude; Ability to promote and adapt to change in order to keep current with Dietary & Nutritional Services; Ability to apply the principles of quality Dietary & Nutritional Services as directed; Evidence of a sense of responsibility, initiative, honesty and positive attitude; Knowledge and ability to learn the safe use of various equipment, including steamers, ovens, grills, dishwasher, etc.

Director of Information Technology and Communication Services

Full-time 40 hours per week; management (exempt) position. Primarily day shift. Hours will vary in response to workload demands; low census may be utilized in accordance with hospital policy; may require participation in an on-call rotation.

Responsible for:  working toward organizational goals using resources in an effective and efficient manner; applicable job tasks and oversight of progress and productivity of assigned department(s); oversight of decision making, problem solving, planning, delegating, facilitating meetings, organizing teams, identification of department needs and implementation of change to meet needs; hiring and disciplining of department staff, employee performance management, ensuring conformance to hospital policies and regulatory agency standards; setting department goals, observing and providing feedback to hospital administration, department leads and employees (when indicated).

Knowledge of the scope of service and processes of the department; ensure work is carried out efficiently and effectively to meet department standards and expectations; maintain general knowledge of current trends and changes in health care and in assigned departments. Reflect excellent communication, customer service, and collaboration skills in both internal and external interactions. Demonstrate and promote the values and mission of the hospital throughout daily activities. 

Bachelors of Science in Computer Sciences or Information Systems or equivalent, required; 3 to 5 years experience in network administration, WAN, LAN, Windows, required; 3 to 5 years experience and demonstrated skill in the use of computer software (including MS Windows, Word, Excel, Access and other database applications), preferred.;  2-3 years of working technical knowledge of phone, data, voice mail, interactive voice services, call management systems, and telecommunications accounting systems, preferred; knowledge of installation, implementation, and maintenance of telecommunications equipment, video teleconferencing equipment, and voice/data equipment, preferred; 3 to 5 years of previous management/supervisor/leader experience, preferred; knowledge of current Health Information/Electronic Medical Record/Information Technology related federal & state laws and regulatory requirements; excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills; BLS required within six months of hire.
